Jude has been transferred from the Vancouver General Hospital to the UBC Mood Disorders Centre. Shortly after moving, she reported feeling safer and regaining her privileges quickly. Although she originally admitted herself to the VGH, she became an involuntary patient because of how manic she was and is. We do not know when she will be released, but she is recovering.

Once Jude is released, she will be in dire straits. Most immediately, she will need to pay rent and buy food. She has not worked for some time before her episode because of her depression. As a result, her loved ones have come together, with Jude’s blessing, to start this crowdfunding campaign. Although Jude will have the freedom to resume working after being released from the hospital, she may not be able to work. The healing process will continue long after she has left the hospital, in part because of the trauma she has sustained while hospitalized.

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible so that Jude will be able to focus on healing, rather than taking care of her basic necessities. No amount of money is too little; it adds up quickly. Please consider donating even if you do not know Jude well, and please share widely. Thank you for your help.
