Alicia is an Ontario transplant who came to Coast Salish territory for the schooling and stayed for the ocean air and activism. Alicia did her MA research in southeastern India on post-disaster resilience and the efficacy of integrating environmental and socio-economic factors in community planning, and now focuses on capacity building and youth empowerment through accessible alternative education at a literacy non-profit. She is an avid mountain-watcher and dog-snuggler, who finds nourishment through good food, good books, and good friends (not necessarily in that order)
