Community Agreements

Be wild

  1. Gratitude. We agree to be conscious of and express gratitude for one another and the communities we participate in, while holding space for a range of emotions, whether positive, negative or somewhere between..

  2. Safe Spaces. We agree to maintain safe spaces for all gatherings and communications we participate in. *When we are participating as a facilitator we take responsibility for upholding these agreements by sharing and maintaining the agreements with the group.

    1. Practice anti-oppression and non-violent communication.

    2. Meet people where they are, being inclusive and compassionate as much as possible.

    3. Step up, step back

    4. Spacious Listening

    5. Shame free, guilt free

    6. Ensure space is as accessible as possible

  3. Consent! We agree to be mindful of gaining consent before engaging in any activities or communications.

    1. Make no assumptions and try not to take things personally.

    2. Follow the MARCI model of accountability for all projects.

    3. Get consent, consent is sexy.

  4. Accountability. We agree to be accountable as a member of the Nettles’ Guild by following the accountability circle of doing what you agree to do, building trust, and giving feedback.

    1. It is the individual's responsibility to bring concerns forward during check in times, or to notify group if they are unable to do so or if they feel unsafe to do so.

    2. Call in before calling out. (article here)

    3. Ask for and give feedback.
