Handy Femmes
femmes teaching femmes how to use tools
Handy Femmes is a workshop series by and for femmes to learn how to use tools. How to build all those shiny things our hearts desire. How to unscrew the patriarchy with a power drill. Handy Femmes is an opportunity to share skills in a safe space. A space free from the prying eyes of the patriarchy. A space where you will not be mansplained into submission.
You do not need to have any experience to join us. All levels are welcome! All femmes are welcome including trans, queer, POC, and women. We are sex worker positive.

About the facilitator:
I’m Bo! I’m a genderqueer apocalypse prepping anxious extroverted introvert. I have always been drawn to building and crafting, but as an AFAB person I have struggled to find spaces where I can learn these skills. Like my first oil change, when a man stopped and reversed his truck, just to tell me I was doing it wrong. Or that time at the hardware store when I was laughed at for confusing galvanized screws with non-galvanized screws. After years of wiggling through the cracks, I want to share some of my learnings with other femmes in a safe space. I am in no way an expert in using tools, but I’m happy to share what I know and I’m confident that together we can share so many of our own skills.
