This session will focus on Permaculture in the Built Environment, covering the basics of natural building and Permaculture concepts in building design while addressing the question "Can cities ever be sustainable?"

Saturday Sept 10th 10am - 5pm: Soil Life & Principles of Bioremediation

  • 10:00 - 10:30 Check in and housekeeping

  • 10:30 - 12:30 Permaculture in the Built Environment

  • 12:30 - 1:30 Lunch

  • 1:30 - 2:30 Natural Building Basic

  • 2:30 - 4:30 Hands on activity - Earthen Materials Playtime

Sunday Sept 11th 10am - 5pm: Hands-on Techniques for Bioremediation

  • 10:00 - 10:15 Check in and housekeeping 

  • 10:15 - 11:00 Buildings in the Landscape

  • 11:00-11:30 Check test mixes

  • 11:30-12:30 Permaculture through the seasons

  • 12:30 - 1:00 Short Lunch Break!

  • 1:00 - 2:00 Inquiry Circle: Can Cities Be Sustainable?
